Waendra — the frontier peoples. Their own word for themselves, meaning those who wander.
Notes
A few thousand at most across the whole frontier, in groups of twenty to fifty, moving on a seasonal round. There may be a hundred miles between one group and the next.
They do not plant. Nothing fixed means nothing to defend, no cleared ground to hold, no store for a Chirska to find and no terrace for a Skrafna to come up through. They live by knowing the country — where a Vespra sits, when a Kamra goes dormant, which water a Svaekoil holds — and that knowledge is the whole of why they are alive.
They hold Oathbond like anyone. A Waendra asked for their aeslae has one to give.
