taefshei — a category of activity; the sort of thing a person or trade characteristically does.
Notes
A dockhand’s work is one taefshei and a clerk’s another. Used constantly and loosely, and often to excuse: a thing done badly may be dismissed as not being one’s own taefshei, which is either an honest admission of nature or a poor excuse depending on who is listening.
