anth — the paired sensory feelers on the head of an insect or similar creature.

Present on the Nywich, the Serwy and a great many things on the frontier. The word is also used loosely of anything that gropes ahead of a body — the leading tendrils of a Slyngra, the forward spines of a Spynra.
