Sygra — the tropical vine that lures and then pierces.
Notes
A climbing vine, thick as a wrist at the base, with broad dark leaves and flowers or fruit that carry the lure. The needles lie flat along the stems until something is close enough.
A passive trap. Sweet-scented flowers or a soft-glowing fruit bring a creature close and barbed needles do the rest, drawing blood or injecting what dissolves it. It does not move and does not pursue.
