Sweitroe — the sugar root of the northern fields; the coarse brown sugar pressed from it.
Notes
Less productive than Ireich and considerably less refined. The sugar it yields is brown, faintly earthy, and perfectly serviceable, and it is what working households in Shining Reach and Forgegate sweeten with. Wealthy households import Ireich and say so. The distinction is one of the plainest class markers in the north, and everyone understands it without anyone stating it. A table set with white cane sugar has made a declaration.
