Skwatra — a short heavy gun; devastating at close range and useless at any other.
Notes
Large bore, short barrel, and a fraction of the weight of a long rifled gun. Carried by vessels that intend to close rather than to trade fire at distance, which means pirates almost exclusively.
A hull that swaps long guns for Skwatra saves enough weight to outrun what it cannot outshoot.
