Glaenith — the light-stone; a mineral that glows when charged and fades as it is spent.
Notes
Mined in the mountains and ground fine. A charge lasts some months and then the Kwlei must be opened and refilled, which is the whole economy of the thing: cheap to buy and never done paying.
It cannot freeze, cannot starve, and cannot be neglected to death, which is why Stormharbor uses almost nothing else. The coldest city in the world lights itself with the one thing winter cannot kill.
