Faell — to fall, to be brought down, to collapse. Both physical falling and the philosophical failure of losing one's standing or breaking under pressure. The opposite of stadh (to stand).
Notes
A fundamental action word that was missing from the recorded dictionary. In Stoermhavn skaeld tradition, 'nei faell' (do not fall) is a defiant refrain — the refusal to be broken by storm or grief.
