Ekseidh — the satisfaction a slave takes in having served well.
Notes
A real and named feeling rather than a euphemism, and the philosophy is explicit that it is the point. A slave who has done a difficult thing correctly, been seen to do it, and knows it was worth doing feels Ekseidh, and a Master who never produces it in those he holds has failed at True Mastery whatever else he has managed. Abolitionists do not dispute that the feeling exists. They dispute what it proves.
