Notes
A working line rather than a separate animal, and it breeds true. Taller and rangier than the herd sort, with a poorer coat and a great deal more endurance, and it will carry a good load over ground no Dorath and wagon could attempt. Clearhold bred it and Clearhold depends on it. The terraces, the upper paths and the passes above the Mountain Way are Draebaech country, and everything that goes up beyond the last cart road goes up on their backs. Stormharbor keeps a smaller line for the same reason. Stubborn, sure-footed, and entirely unbothered by height. A string of eight on a path a hand’s width wider than they are is an ordinary sight in Clearhold and an alarming one to everybody else.
