Braech — a wound. Any break in the body, from a cut to a crushing.
Notes
The ordinary word and the one a physician writes. It carries no judgement of how the wound was got, which matters in a world where a great many are got badly — a Braech from a Svaekoil, a Braech from a fall, a Braech from another person, all the same word and all recorded the same way. A physician distinguishes a Braech that will close from one that will not, and it is the second that gets talked about.
