knoeva
Stage Modern CLT
Pronunciation /ˈknɔɪ.va/
Part of speech Verb
Etymology from Middle knōvē, from Proto knou
Related words Cnoev

knoeva — to know; to hold a thing as true and be able to answer for it.

Notes

The k is sounded, which is the whole of the joke it came from: the builders wrote the silent letter and said it anyway. Nobody here knows that, and a child who failed to sound it would be corrected.
