craeshwy — to lose command of oneself in public; the visible failure of self-mastery.
Notes
A serious word. Under the Oathbond a craeshwy is not embarrassment but evidence — a person who cannot govern themselves before witnesses has demonstrated something about their Personal Oathbond that others are obliged to notice. Distinguished carefully from honest grief and from justified anger, neither of which is a craeshwy. The distinction is a standing subject of salon argument in Shining Reach.
