Kampra — to hold a position and wait for the moment rather than move.
Notes
Correct practice and taught as such. What a Haerman does behind cover, what a hunter does at a stand, what a Linmaen does at the edge of the Merka. Patience is most of the skill and everybody knows it.
In a salon or a game it is an insult. A person who will not commit to a position, who waits for everyone else to move and answers only when it is safe, is Kampra, and it is said with contempt. The two senses have nothing in common but the word and nobody confuses them.
