Simraun — a pot-dish; anything left to cook slowly in one vessel over a hearth.
Notes
The shape of most meals in most households. A hearth boils and stews where a closed stove bakes and roasts, so a Simraun is what a working family eats and what a house with a stove has stopped needing to.
