Tyvra — the small climbing predator of yards, hedgerows and rooflines.
Notes
Long-bodied, quick, and up a wall before anyone has finished shouting. It takes a Chichei from an unguarded yard, robs a Nywich hive of both comb and grubs, and will eat almost anything else it finds.
A nuisance rather than a danger, and universally cursed. Every household with fowl has lost some to a Tyvra and every household has a theory about how to stop it.
Native, and never a target of anything. It is abundant now chiefly because everything that used to compete with it is gone — the ground-hunting predators of its size did not survive nine centuries of the frontier, and the Tyvra went up a tree.
A ridge of short bony spines runs the length of the spine beneath the guard hair, raised when the animal is alarmed and flat otherwise.
